This project aimed to make a title sequence for Christiane F. The video will be seen as part of a campaign to educate and assist teenagers who are struggling with addictions. The campaign aims to make film adaptations of Christiane F.'s novel. Christiane, a 13-year-old Berlin native, is addicted to drugs. She learns a gritty world full of crime, suffering, prostitution, and death in a short period of time. Since this book is based on a true storey, the intended result speaks directly to the intended audience.
Since the novel was based on audio recordings in which Christiane shared her storey, I wanted to show a scene to reconstruct an audiotape in which we hear the voice of an older man talking about his own addiction to offer credibility to my project. This voice was supposed to be thick, exhausted, and wise, based on the mistakes that had been made.
